Hunterdon Medical Center and Raritan Township Fire Company Host 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

To mark the 10th anniversary of September 11th, Hunterdon Medical
Center and the Raritan Township Fire Company hosted a 9/11 Memorial
Stair Climb at the hospital from 8 a.m. – noon.  This charitable event
honored those who perished and to support those responders still
suffering the effects of the rescue and recovery efforts at the World
Trade Center.  The event was open to all firefighters, first responders
and community members and 150 people participated in the event.  The
stair climb took place in the parking garage on the campus of Hunterdon
Medical Center. The challenge was to do 20 laps up and down the
stairwells of Hunterdon Medical Center’s Parking Garage.  These 20
laps represent the height of 110 stories of the World Trade Center.  The
Fire and Rescue participants climbed in full turnout gear.  Scott packs
included!  9/11 First Responder victims pictures were posted in the
stairwells.  These pictures were taken down by the participants during
the climb, and carried through the completion of the event.
In addition, Hunterdon Medical Center also hosted a health fair the
Stair Climb.

Proceeds from this event benefited the Feal Good Foundation,  a
non-profit organization whose mission is to spread awareness and educate
the public about the catastrophic health effects on 9/11 first
responders, as well as to provide assistance to relieve these great
heroes of the financial burdens placed on them over the last ten years.
