On February 27th HealthQuest of Central Jersey, LLC hosted a Spin
Marathon. Spinning is a high-energy, indoor stationary cycling program
where the instructor takes participants on a "virtual" outdoor road
race. Participants were asked to collect donations to support one of
three charities and could ride from one hour to nine hours. The
charities included: Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, Safe in Hunterdon
and Special Olympics. The event raised nearly $21,500 for Hunterdon
Regional Cancer Center.
Funds raised through this event help make many things possible which
benefit cancer patients and extend Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center’s
services into the community every day, enabling diagnosis, treatment and
prevention services that are encompassed in a comprehensive
close-to-home facility for residents in Hunterdon County and surrounding
areas. These critical programs enhance care for patients while the
educational, preventive and wellness services and initiatives benefit
the community.
“We wish to thank HealthQuest of Central Jersey, LLC, Deb Arbach,
event organizer and the Spin Marathon team of HealthQuest, including
instructors and volunteers who executed this successful event. The
Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation, the fundraising entity of Hunterdon
Healthcare, is fortunate to include HealthQuest of Raritan Township as a
partner in philanthropy. Their generous support has made a direct
impact on our patients,” stated Kimberly Coombs, Assistant Director of
Fund Development, Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation.
